DIY Personal Pizzas!

Hello everybody! I hope everyone is having a great week and you have all been working on your DIY projects in this cold weather and staying warm. For my DIYes or No this week I gave personal pizzas a try! First I bought pizza dough from the grocery store and cut it into small circles, approximately the size of a rubber ball. Once cut I rolled the dough balls out on flour until they were almost paper-thin and placed them on a baking pan with flour on the pan. With the pizza dough on the pan, I then added tomato sauce, LOTS of cheese and all of my toppings; green olives, ham and pineapple (my boyfriend likes to reverse the cheese and toppings to have your toppings baked into your pizza). After the toppings were perfected I put the personal pizzas in the oven at 450 F for about 8-10 minutes or until the dough is cooked fully in the centre. The end result was amazing! Thin crispy crust on the outside but soft in the centre, perfectly melted cheese and personalized toppings. The DIY personal pizzas were a success because everyone gets to make their own pizza just the way they like it, the pizzas cook in half the time a whole pizza would take and it was so much FUN! Overall this was a DIYes! I recommend everyone try making their own DIY personal pizzas whether it is with family or friends, it would even be a good date idea!

D.I.Y Crossover Crop Top: No Sewing - Evaluation

Hello Everyone!

My name is Nicolle. I am a normal girl with little creative ability and I will be testing and evaluating intriguing and crafty D.I.Ys we find D.I.Y experts doing on the Internet to see if they are do-able by regular people. For my first D.I.Y evaluation I tested out a Crossover Crop Top. I found the tutorial on Jessica Lee’s YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYVzrdRW-qE.

Jessica made the tutorial look very simple and I had wanted one of these crop tops for a while so I thought I would give this one a shot! Jessica uses household scissors in her D.I.Y tutorial and doesn’t give a description on whether the original tank top has to be a certain length so I just used a plain tank top. Following the instructions given when cutting the tank top was simple enough, although upon completion I realized my top looked like it had been ripped with my bare hands! Also, I think the original shirt should have been a shirt that was a little too big and a little too long than what I would usually wear because the end result was so tiny I could not even take a photo to show, as it would have been wildly inappropriate!

Overall this D.I.Y Crossover Crop Top tutorial had the potential to be a success with a bigger original tank top, a proper set of clothing scissors and several attempts, but since it was not a success on my first attempt I am classifying it is a D.I.Y NO!
